Asked bluntly if he'd ever been intoxicated or absent since becoming FBI director, a noticeably agitated Kash Patel dodged the question and instead rattled off a string of crime statistics meant to bolster his claims that he's somehow up for the job he definitely should not have. Patel did eventually come around and claim, "I have never been intoxicated on the job," then doubled down on his absurd $250 million defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic, threatening other media outlets to "bring it on" if they want to join the case as defendants.

Should Patel press ahead with his suit, he will expose himself to sworn testimony and depositions from more than two dozen sources The Atlantic's Sarah Fitzpatrick used in her reporting. Fitzpatrick isn't backing down, by the way. When asked about Patel's quarter-billion-dollar lawsuit by MS NOW, she flatly responded, "I stand by every word of this reporting. We have excellent attorneys."

They only say they want it closed because I have it totally BLOCKADED (CLOSED!), so they merely want to 'save face.' People approached me four days ago, saying, 'Sir, Iran wants to open up the Strait, immediately.' But if we do that, there can never be a Deal with Iran, unless we blow up the rest of their Country, their leaders included!"

Marjorie Taylor Greene blames Virginia redistricting election result on Trump
Following last night's historic redistricting referendum in Virginia that will almost certainly result in a net pick up of four House seats for Democrats this November, former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene placed the blame squarely on Donald Trump, noting that his betrayal of the very people who propelled him to power will have "devastating consequences in the midterms."

Virginians voted yesterday to narrowly approved a mid-decade redistricting map that should see Democrats win ten out of eleven of the state’s House districts in the upcoming midterms. Billionaire investor files fraud lawsuit against Trump crypto venture and claims it’s on "verge of collapse"
In a twist absolutely no one could have possibly ever seen coming from a million miles away, a billionaire crypto finance bro previously charged with fraud by the SEC is suing the Trump family cryptocurrency venture for fraud, alleging the racket he pumped $45 million into is now on the verge of collapse.

In a 52-page complaint, Justin Sun alleges that World Liberty Financial's "operators" treated the project "as a golden opportunity to leverage the Trump brand to profit through fraud," claimed they made him "a prime target of their fraudulent scheme," and said he and his companies had duly incurred "hundreds of millions of dollars in damages" as a result.

Leveraging the Trump brand to profit through fraud?! If only there had been decades of extremely bright warning signs flashing along the way that Trump and his sons lack the moral scruples to run a lemonade stand, let alone a multi-billion-dollar crypto venture, perhaps Sun could've seen the light and saved himself the trouble!

While the world's attention has understandably been focused on Iran, Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth's campaign of terror and murder on the high seas has continued unabated. The survivors of a strike on Ecuadorian fishing vessel Don Moca told The Guardian how they were finishing up a long day of work when an explosion ripped through their ship from a drone strike, injuring several of the crewmembers. The fishermen huddled at the bow of the ship and waved a white shirt; they were then boarded and arrested by armed US Marines and had hoods placed over their heads.

The Marines confiscated their phones to keep evidence from getting out and even stole their food and beer. They were eventually handed over to the El Salvadoran military, interrogated, and dumped at a UN shelter in El Salvador with no explanation or apology.

"Thank God we're alive! What they did to us was very cruel," said said Jhonny Sebastián Palacios. "They knew we were fishermen. Even the Salvadorian authorities told us things had been handled very badly.”

The US government has offered no comment or explanation for these wildly illegal violations of international law. This is the Trump regime in a nutshell: nothing but capricious, nihilistic violence against poor people of color under the bullshit pretense of keeping America safe.
