At least 71 grizzly bears have been confirmed DEAD in and around Yellowstone this year, putting us on track to surpass last year’s record-high of 72 before 2025 ends. And that number doesn’t even include the bear deaths that go unreported.

One of the latest losses was an orphaned, injured female cub KILLED by government agents just last month. Young cubs who have lost their mothers, often due to vicious trophy hunting or other human-driven conflicts, are often among the most helpless creatures in the wild. These weak, delicate cubs cannot survive on their own and are likely to die of STARVATION or HYPOTHERMIA. And that’s only if they aren’t murdered themselves!

Too many bear families have already been destroyed by reckless people, extremist political agendas, and the cruelty of trophy hunting. Yet Congress is now weighing a dangerous bill (H.R. 281) that would REMOVE Greater Yellowstone’s grizzlies from Endangered Species Act and TAKE AWAY life-saving federal protections that shield these beloved animals from further harm caused by humans.

Grizzly deaths are climbing rapidly – and H.R. 281 would leave these vulnerable bears even more defenseless, pushing them closer to EXTINCTION. Picture little brown cubs shivering, scared, and hungry without their mamas, their frail pawprints barely visible in the thick snow. If passed, H.R. 281 could open the door to brutal slaughtering and push this fragile population closer to COLLAPSE. The bill has already advanced out of committee, so we’re running out of time to STOP this deadly legislation in its tracks.
