URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Plastic pollution is CHOKING sea turtles, OVERWHELMING our oceans, and ENDANGERING the health of our planet! >> Take immediate action! Innocent animals like baby sea turtles often mistake plastic for food, leading them to CHOKE AND DIE on the debris. Remember Gingerbread,? Gingerbread was a tiny baby sea turtle – and despite weighing no more than a carrot, Gingerbread was found dead on the Florida coast with 24 pieces of plastic jammed inside its tiny tummy!   Plastic isn’t biodegradable, so it NEVER disappears— meaning that some of the plastic floating around the ocean has been there for over 100 years. And the longer plastic remains in the water, the more it smells like the food that these innocent animals would normally eat. Plastic pollution has already KILLED millions of marine animals, polluted our communities, and contaminated our oceans. And yet, the destruction doesn’t even begin there… Plastic material is more than what meets the eye. It is made of oil and gas. And when massive petrochemical factories burn these harmful fossil fuels to make this non-biodegradable material, it releases dangerous emissions into the environment causing our planet’s temperature to RISE. There’s a way for us to disrupt this deadly cycle. The petrochemical companies raking in massive profits by worsening the plastics crisis are propped up by financing from institutions like Citibank. Citibank could stop fueling the plastic apocalypse by refusing to provide financing to polluting petrochemical companies. But so far, Citibank has FAILED to act – and that’s why we need your immediate help, Daisy.  Tell Citibank to STOP financing greedy plastics companies that are POISONING communities, DESTROYING the planet, and KILLING sea turtles!
