The NRA's disgusting response to the Buffalo shooting

 

By now you’ve heard about the horrific shooting in Buffalo last Saturday. An 18-year-old with a racial slur scribbled on his assault rifle live-streamed his supermarket shooting spree. He drove 200 miles to specifically target Black people at a supermarket he had scoped out prior to the massacre.   This heinous act of hate was only the flashpoint of a deadly weekend that saw high profile shootings in Chicago, Houston, Orange County, Milwaukee, and so many other places across the nation. The truth is, this is all a natural consequence of the NRA’s “guns everywhere and for everyone” agenda.   But they’re not backing down. On Saturday, they predictably Tweeted that the solution to this crisis was more guns. They shared a news clip arguing for more Americans to be armed. They won’t be satisfied until every single citizen is carrying a firearm in some lawless frontier fantasy masquerading as “liberty.” We need your help to stand strong against the NRA. We’ve seen the stories, we know the data. More guns just mean more gun deaths, and a country with approximately 110 gun deaths every day can’t afford to get any deadlier.   We have a tremendous opportunity to push our leaders, whether they be in the government or in the community, to build a safer future with fewer guns.
