Maine voters reject voter ID requirement, absentee voting changes

ID. Required to vote NEEDS to be national law. This is unbelievable

Before commenting on an issue, informing yourself is a good idea. STATES determine VOTING REQUIREMENTS! Much as the ORANGE TURD wants to pretend otherwise. There is a great deal of information available about states employing VOTER ID to DISENFRANCHISE VOTERS. GEORGIA mandates VOTER ID but a voter must travel to a STATE OFFICE ONLY OPEN DURING WORKING HOURS & at a great distance. If a person is DISABLED, has no transportation or works a LOW WAGE JOB & must take unpaid time off, it succesfully disenfranchises those voters. Why should you have to travel to obtain the RIGHT TO VOTE? Do your homeworker before forming a flawed & inaccurate opinion. You already have to prove who you are to REGISTER TO VOTE here in Maine. This news report is lacking. The bill also would have restricted/removed our SAFE ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL. Which would have directly impacted rural, disabled, elderly and poor people in our state.

If you don't live, and vote, here and don't know the specifics of a bill, do yourself a favor. Don't make ignorant comments. It doesn't look good on you.
