When you fire the one federal employee that Congress intended to protect other federal employees from wrongful firing, you may end up with a federal judge ordering you to un-fire the head of the Office of Special Counsel. Popok reports on Federal Judge Amy Berman Jackson ordering the Trump Administration to reinstate Hampton Dellinger and finding that the law establishing this federal Ombudsperson and keeping them away from partisan firing, is constitutional.
