At the age of 24, David Hume Kennerly won the Pulitzer Prize for photos he took as a combat photographer in Vietnam during the Vietnam war AND for photos he took at the legendary 1971 Ali vs. Frasier fight at Madison Square Garden. At age 27, he was asked by President Gerald Ford to be the White House Photographer. Mr. Kennerly has photographed every American president from LBJ through Biden. And now, at age 77, he's made an important statement about the courage that is necessary in 2024 to meet the urgency of this moment in America's history, when our democracy is under attack from within. His recent article in the Atlantic, titled "The Danger of a Small Act of Cowardice", explains the stand he decided to take by resigning from the board of trustees of the Gerald R.
