Trump’s new attacks on voting rights

 

I’m writing with an important update on voting rights.

As you may have heard, Donald Trump has been calling GOP governors and state legislators asking them to draw new, gerrymandered districts in their states – midway through the decade – in a brazen attempt to steal congressional seats and bolster his Republican majority.

Now, he’s taken another drastic step: calling for an end to all mail-in voting.

Look, I’ve spent my whole career fighting for voting rights. I’m not about to let Donald Trump take away the voices of the people without a fight, and I know you aren’t either.

That’s why I’m counting on you to take action today and sign my brand-new petition to protect voting rights. Please, if you’re with me, will you add your name now to condemn Trump’s voter suppression efforts and protect the right to vote? Sign the Petition My question for Donald Trump is this: What are you so afraid of? Are you afraid that the people might actually hold you accountable at the ballot box? It sure seems to me like Trump knows his policies are unpopular and causing pain in communities all across our country. But instead of changing his policies, he’s trying to change the rules – and silence your voice.
