EXPLAINED: More than just book bans

 

The Nazis in 1933 wanted to erase ideas and control what people could learn. So orchestrated mass book burnings, targeting works by Jewish authors, pacifists, and anyone who dared to challenge their ideology. Now, something similar is happening here.   Books about Black history are being removed. Books about women’s rights are being taken away.
